Maryanna Lanham

Maryanna Lanham, executive director of the Life Atlas Foundation, runs all programming and liaisons with the community. 

​

In this role, she aims to help battle bullying, encourage mental wellness, and increase self-confidence in a safe space. 

​

As an active volunteer and frequent public speaker, Maryanna recognizes the value of strong communities. As such, she is a member of the Southern Maryland Women’s League, the St. Mary’s NAACP, the Calvert Interagency Council, St. Mary’s Behavioral Health Action Team, and an alumnus of Leadership Southern Maryland, class of 2023.

Under Maryanna's leadership since 2021, Life Atlas evolved from the Dream Queen Foundation with a new brand, vision, and outlook. She has raised close to $80,000 in grants for the foundation. 

​

Ms. Lanham was named a woman to watch in both 2022 and 2023, and has been featured in several local newspapers for the work she is doing in the community. Dedicated to fostering women’s empowerment, serves on the planning committee of United Women Win & Future Force through the United Way Southern Maryland. Maryanna is a 2023 Alumni of Leadership Southern Maryland and was included in the Marquis Who’s Who 2023.

Ms. Lanham channeled her experiences and vast breadth of knowledge into a chapter in the book titled, ‘The Extraordinary Makeover: Hidden Expressions of the Everyday Woman.”

​

Ms. Lanham holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland College Park. She expanded upon her professional knowledge, earning her series 6, 65, and 63 licenses through the Financial Insurance Regulatory Authority.

The cornerstone of her success lay in her passion for helping others and those that have helped her along the way. Within the coming years, Ms. Lanham intends to create a leadership and mentoring course so that she can reach more people and have a strong women’s collective in other communities.
